December 28, 2015 "I don't think God wanted us to be weasels."
This week was a stellar week! SO MUCH happened.
We picked up two new investigators! Harry & Candy :) The Timmons invited them to the ward Christmas party & they loved it so much they attended church a few days later. We met with them on Tuesday. The lessons was amazing! And incredibly long (seems to happen when the member presents & the investigators all have hundreds of stories and comments to make.) but we were eventually able to share all of the Restoration points. Candy comes from a Norwegian family. (Her grandmother.) I didn't have to much time to talk to her about it. But I find that very exciting as well! Hurra!
We went caroling with the Forbush family for Family Home Evening (usually Monday nights is a time for family to come together and do fun activities while learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.) It was a blast. We visit two non member homes. Irene this super cute older lady said that we could come visit! BO-YAH! We also met Mrs. Mary as the Frobush's call her. She's so sweet! She believes Ina lot of things. The Frobushes have known her for 8 years and they've never met her husband or entered her home. But that night she invited ALL of us in!! ALL!! There's a power in music. She started talking about her gun collection and all sort of random things. "I don't think God wanted us to be Weasels."
We helped our Sister McMullen with trimming her tree along with actually putting her live tree up. We enlisted the Elders. She had 3 tree stands all hidden in one of her random sheds... Took awhile to find. But now she has a tree standing right side up and not laying on the floor.
Christmas was awesome! Christmas Eve & Christmas our goal was to be in a different home every hour. I'm Happy to say that was pretty accurate :) Only members signed up... But that's okay. Each day we did a different ward. So we were fed Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. YUM! We went around sharing "A Savior is Born." & some other Christmas stories. It was fun to see all of the different family traditions.
